Odisha Revenue Receipts Up By 8.52%

Bhubaneswar: Revenue receipts of the State in the current fiscal by the end of December 2019 is 8.52% more as compared to the corresponding period in last fiscal 2018-19, informed Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari in the Odisha Assembly today.

In a written reply to a question by BJP member from Udala, the Minister said that by the end of December 2018-19 as per the Accountant General, Odisha, the State’s revenue receipts was Rs 29,613 crore while that of the corresponding period in the current fiscal is Rs 32, 135 crore.

According to data released by the Minister while the State had collected Rs 20,898.86 crore from Own Tax Revenue by December end in 2018-19, in the current fiscal during the corresponding period the State has collected Rs 22,593.98 crore which is 8.11% more.

Similarly, in Non-Tax Revenue the State had collected Rs 8,714.01 crore by December end in 2018-19, in the current fiscal during the corresponding period the State has collected Rs 9541.04 crore which is 9.49% more.

Collection of revenue from Stamp Duty & Registration Fees is up by 48.29%, land revenue 22.94%, Excise Duty 17.29%, and State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) 12.64%, Taxes on Profession by 10.17%, Electricity Duty by 10%, Mining Revenue 7.77%, Water Rate 5.49% and MV Tax 1.36% in the current fiscal by the end of December 2019 during the corresponding period in the last fiscal 2018-19.
