Begunia: In a broad daylight robbery, six unidentified bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted over Rs 60 lakh from employees of a private finance company at gunpoint near Gediapalli square under Begunia police limits of Khurdha district today.

As per a police complaint lodged by Srikant Kumar Sahu, an employee of Radiant Cash Management Service Pvt Ltd, they were returning to their office after collecting cash from Khandapada and Narasinghpur when their car was intercepted by six persons riding three Pulsar motorcycles.

The miscreants then came near door of the car, snatched the cash bag under gun point from Srikant and decamped with the looted money. The exact amount in the bag was Rs 61,47,247 which Srikant and his colleagues were going to deposit in Bank Of India.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered based on the complaint and investigation is underway said Khurda SDPO Jugal Kishore Das.
