Bhubaneswar: An invitation to meet the Chief Minister is no less than a reward for the good deeds of first time Sarpanch of Govindpur panchayat in Kendrapara district, Padmalaya Dhal, who through her selfless service towards the migrants housed in a quarantine centre under her jurisdiction has set example for others.
Padmalaya along with her husband and other officials had treated the 39 inmates of the quarantine centre at Godabarish Bidyapitha under her panchayat like family members. The inmates were more than grateful to Padmalaya for her love and care. It was visible through their emotions on the day they left the centre.
On Monday afternoon, Padmalaya got a call Secretary to Chief Minister Transformation and Initiative (5T) VK Pandian who talked with her for over 15 minutes. He praised her for her good work and invited her to Bhubaneswar. Pandian also promised to visit the Panchayat once the COVID-19 situation is normalised.
