Odisha Schools: English, Maths & Science Class Duration Increased From 45 To 90 Minutes

Bhubaneswar: Amid its ongoing reformation and strengthening of quality education imparted in the State-run schools, Odisha School and Mass Education (S&ME) Department has increased the duration of classroom teachings of English, Mathematics and Science subjects from this academic session.

This was informed by S&ME Minister Samir Ranjan Dash at the Lok Seba Bhawan (State Secretariat) here today.   

Briefing media, the Minister informed that the class time of English, Mathematics and Science subjects has been increased from this academic session. Instead of 45 minutes, the class time of the three major subjects will be of one hour and thirty minutes (1.30).  

This will be implemented from Class VI to Class X.  

He further informed that special teaching in English will be imparted by taking up a school as a pilot project in every district. Later on, it will be expanded to the every block .
