**Bhubaneswar: ** As Government of Odisha has geared up for the heat wave preparedness and precautionary measures for Summer-2019, timing of all classes of all schools in the State, including public schools and privately managed schools has been rescheduled between 6 and 10.30 am from April 2, 2019.
“In no case the schools will remain beyond 11 am,” the State Government’s circular issued today (23.03.2019).
The circular also states, “MDM will be served at 10 am.”
It has further been stated that all school Assessment Exercise/ Examination may be completed by 30.03.2019. Provison of drinking water and first aid must be made available at examination centres.
“Academic Session 2019-20 will start from 3rd April, 2019, 2nd april to be observed as Pravesh Utsav,” the circular notes.
Head Masters should make provision of drinking water in the schools where the tubewells are not available. They should also advise the students to come to the schools with umbrellas and water bottles during the summer season. Physical training in the school should be made optional for the students during summer season.
“Summer vacation will start from 6th May, 2019,” underlines the Odisha Government’s notification.
