**Bhubaneswar:** Senior scribes based in the Capital City today met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and expressed their gratitude for a slew of welfare measures which the State Government recently introduced for working journalists of Odisha.
During a brief interaction with the Chief Minister, the delegation of scribes also presented a memorandum demanding pension and related benefits for those who have retired from active journalism.
Veteran journalist Pradosh Pattanaik said, “We thanked the Chief Minister for the commendable step which will go a long way in offering a better and respectable living for journalists of Odisha. We also drew the CM’s attention towards other issues which the journalists here are facing.”
