Odisha Secures 2nd Rank In Country For Maximum Improvement In OPD Services
**Bhubaneswar:** Amidst an ongoing war of words between the Centre and Odisha Government over Health Services schemes, the latter has ranked second in the country for offering best OPD Services in public health facilities.
In the 5th National Summit on Good, Replicable Practices and Innovations in public health care systems in India, Odisha was conferred an award for securing second rank for maximum improvement in Out-Patients Department (OPD) Services in Public Health Facilities during 2016-17 to 2017-18.
Two other states, Gujarat and Karnataka have also clinched the second rank in the tally, which was announced today at Kaziranga in Assam. The three-day national summit will end on Thursday.
Infrastructure development, NIDAAN, Niramaya and awareness programmes in health sector have encouraged people towards public health facilities in Odisha, an official of Health and Family Welfare Department said.
