In the survey 2,500 samples will be collected from 25 wards on a random basis to ascertain the prevalence of the disease among the city’s population, a source in the BeMC said.
The same source revealed that while 1,500 samples will be collected from the community on a random basis during the survey, 1,000 samples will be collected from high-risk groups on random basis.

It estimates the proportion of the population exposed to Covid-19 infection.
