Bhubaneswar: There seems to be no relief from nail biting cold in Odisha, with Rourkela recording the lowest night temperature at 4.1°C, followed by Jharsuguda at 4.5°C.
The cold spell has gripped the state, with several districts witnessing temperatures below 10°C.
Phulbani, Angul, and Daringbadi also witnessed temperatures around 6°C, while Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Nabarangapur witnessed temperatures above 6°C. The capital city, Bhubaneswar, has recorded a temperature of 9.2°C, making it one of the coldest nights in recent years.
While Dhenkanal recorded 7.7°C, Bhawanipatna 8.2°C, and Cuttack at 9°C.
The cold wave is expected to continue, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a cold wave alert for several districts, advising people to take necessary precautions.
