Bhubaneswar: As many as 14 stations recorded 39 degress Celcius or more maximum temperature on Monday. With dry and hot winds progressing into the State from northwest and west India, and no norwester activity throughout the day, the weather in the afternoon in many towns of Odisha was unbearable.
As per the data shared by the IMD, Jharsuguda and Baripada recorded the highest 40.4 and 40.0 degrees while, another 12 places in the State witnessed very hot and arid conditions.
