Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday cleared proposals for 11 industrial projects involving a total investment of ₹1,332.80 crore, officials said.
The projects were approved by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja. The proposals span a wide range of sectors, including food and seafood processing, textiles and apparel, chemicals, green hydrogen and green ammonia, tourism, logistics, and information technology.
According to officials, the projects will be set up across seven districts—Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha and Mayurbhanj—boosting industrial activity and employment opportunities in these regions.
Among the major proposals is a 20,000-metric-ton green ammonia plant in Ganjam district with an investment of ₹250 crore. An agrochemical manufacturing unit is planned in Jagatsinghpur with an outlay of ₹220 crore.
Other key projects include a shrimp processing unit in Khordha district worth ₹200 crore, a copper foil manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal with an investment of ₹150 crore, and a freight terminal in Angul involving an investment of ₹159.75 crore.
