Bhubaneswar: an all-party meeting will be held at the new conference hall of the Odisha Legislative Assembly in the capital city on Monday.
Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha has convened an all-party meeting at the new conference hall of the Odisha Legislative Assembly in the capital city on Monday. The meeting aims to seek cooperation of all political parties in smooth functioning of the House during the Budget Session beginning Tuesday.
MLAs belonging to the ruling BJD, Opposition BJP and Congress, lone CPM and Independent MLAs are expected to participate in the meeting.
The Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly will be held in two phases, first from February 21 to March 1 and the second from March 10 to April 6.
According to the schedule, Governor Ganeshi Lal will address the House on the opening day. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the Annual Budget for 2023-24 in the House on February 24.
Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police issued traffic regulations and restriction on vehicular movement on the roads in the vicinity of Odisha Assembly during upcoming Budget session. The regulations were issued in view of security reason, the Commissionerate police stated.
The regulations will be effective from February 21 to March 1 and March 10 to April 6, it added.
