Bhubaneswar: The State Government today alerted all district administrations in view of IMD prediction of dense fog in parts of Odisha for the next three days.
In a letter to the Collectors and SPs, Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) stated that dense fog is very likely to occur in the districts for three days starting tomorrow.
On December 23, the foggy condition will prevail in the districts including Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack,Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput.
Similarly, Puri, Khurday Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjha& Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagaday, Koraput will experience dense fog on December 24.
21 districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamai,Bolangir, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal will witness similar condition on December 25.
The SRC directed the police and transport officials to take necessary steps to control plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accident.
