Bhubaneswar: In view of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing ‘Yellow Warning’ forecasting Heat Wave conditions across some districts of Odisha till April 28, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued an advisory to the Collectors of these districts.
As per the warning, heat wave condition is very likely at isolated places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh & Bolangir on 25th April, over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir and Mayurbhanj on 26th April, over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi & Mayurbhanj on 27th & 28th April, 2022.
The SRC’s office has issued the following advisory to the Collectors of the concerned districts.
• Steps be taken to circulate the warning message among the public.
• Heat is tolerable for general public but slight health concern for vulnerable people (viz: infant, elderly and sick people).
• Public may be advised to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going outside during noontime (around 1100 IST-1530 IST in these areas).
• Situation may be closely monitored and action as deemed necessary be taken.
