**Bhubaneswar**: Odisha government on Tuesday decided to expedite the Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks Systems (CCTNS) at all police stations.
This was decided after a high-level meeting held at the state secretariat here under chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi.
Odisha Police Directorate General (DG) KB Singh also attended the meeting and said: “Today, there was an important meeting over CCTNS chaired by the Chief Secretary and we have how to fasten the progress of CCTN system at district levels. Besides, power backup, broadband and digitalisation of data were also discussed and which will be completed very soon.”
“We have discussed to computerise around 500 police stations and how to address various issues such as electricity connectivity, broadband solutions, and entry of past years’ data smoothly,” said Chief Secretary AP Padhi after the meeting.
Notably, the state government had taken various measures like boosting police personnel at various police stations across the state including citizen services.
