**Malkangiri:** Two days after a Class X student’s blood-stained body was recovered from her hostel in a residential school in Malkangiri, the family members on Saturday alleged that the girl was murdered after a rape attempt.
The deceased was found in a pool of blood with cut injuries in her hand in the computer room of the school on August 2.
The family members suspect foul play as there were cut injuries marks on her hand. The deceased’s brother said, “We are suspecting an attempt to rape and murder and therefore request for a detail unbiased probe into the incident”.
Notably, the hostel warden had first spotted the deceased in between 10:00 to 10:30 pm in a critical condition inside the computer room while searching for her on Thursday night. She was rushed to the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) where doctors declared her brought dead.
