Berhampur: Putting on a pair of jeans and teaching the students have turned into a nightmare for a primary school teacher. He has been served a show cause notice by the Community Education Officer (CEO) asking him to submit reply within 3 days. This incident has occurred in Chikili Nodal Upper Primary School, Khallikote.
Notably, Assistant Teacher Purnachandra Jani turned up in the school in casual pair of jeans on August 16. It was a clear violation of the dress code introduced by the School & Mass Education Department in Odisha.
Worth mentioning, uniform is mandatory for the teachers in all state-run elementary, upper primary and high schools. The State Government had introduced dress code for teachers to encourage equality and discipline in schools.
