Nayagarh: In a blot mark on the Indian Education system, a class 8 girl student levelled allegation of misbehaviour on her school teacher in Fategarh area here. After the matter came to the fore, a video of the Bijipur high school teacher tied to a pole and being thrashed by the villagers has gone viral.
Reportedly, the teacher used to take tuition classes at his home in the evening. On Wednesday, he called the girl to a separate room and allegedly misbehaved with her. He also threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone. However, the girl went sobbing to her parents and complained of the teacher’s actions following which the villagers took matter into their hands.
They tied the teacher to the pole and started thrashing him for his actions. One of the locals captured the entire scene on his mobile phone and the video has gone viral. On intimation, cops reached the spot and saved the teacher from the wrath of the locals. Further probe into the matter is currently underway.
