Odisha To Create 6,025 LTR Teaching Posts In Govt Secondary Schools

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet in its meeting today approved a proposal to create 6,025 of LTR (Leave and Training Reserve) posts in teaching posts in Government secondary schools under School & Mass Education (SM&E) Department.

Fifteen percent of the total cadre strength of 40,166 of teachers which comes to 6025 will be created to meet the requirement of teachers’ unavailability due to leave, training and on medical ground, said an official press release.

This will address the issue of shortage of teachers in Government secondary schools, the release added.
