Bhubaneswar: In a significant development the Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) of the Odisha government at its meeting today decided to develop nine tourist circuits and 13 tourist destinations, informed Vishal Kumar Dev, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Tourism department to reporters after the TAC meeting.
The TAC meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy at the Lok Seva Bhawan here laid emphasis on developing Buddhist and environment circuits said Dev.
It was decided at the meeting to establish hotels and resorts at Rambha and Chilika and houseboat facilities at Chilika and Bhitarkanika, he added.
Moreover, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary said that efforts will be made to attract tourists in collaboration with Indian Surfing Association.
Projects concerning the development of tourism will be completed by 2020, he further informed and added that it has been decided to hold roadshows in six cities to attract domestic tourists.
