Bhubaneswar: In a novel initiative, the Secondary Education Department of the Government of Odisha will distribute sample question papers among Class X students who will be appearing for the annual High School Certificate (Matric) Examination 2024 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
In a letter to all the District Education Officers (DEOs), the Director of Secondary Education in Odisha Sushanta Kumar Das has said that the move aims to help Class X students to comprehend the question patterns in the Matric examination and help them to prepare for the Matric examination in 2024.
“I am to inform you that one set of sample question papers prepared in tune with the existing examination pattern in all subjects (Odia, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science) are being sent. The sample question papers will facilitate students of Class X to understand the question pattern and enable them to prepare the ensuing Annual HSC Examination 2024,” the letter addressed to the DEOs read.
Das further wrote to the DEOs, “You are therefore requested to share the sample question papers with all Headmasters/Headmistress of Secondary Schools in your district. You must take follow-up measures so that they reach all the students.”
The DEOs have also been directed to prepare multiple sets of question papers for the AHSC Examination 2024 utilising the Resource Teachers available at the district level and share the same with the Directorate for further dissemination in the form of a digital repository of question bank.
It is worth mentioning here that the Annual High School Certificate, Madhyama, and State Open School Certificate Examination will be held simultaneously from February 20, 2024, to March 4, 2024.
