The initiative has two key objectives- Development and implementation of a Strategic Roadmap for cost-effective Energy Transition Plan and Projectization and promote cleaner and cost-effective energy generation, enhance energy access, integrate advanced technologies, and mobilize sustainable climate finance.
NITI Aayog will provide strategic guidance, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, and support the development and review of the energy transition blueprint. The Govt. of Odisha will lead the initiative on the ground, ensuring data availability, interdepartmental coordination, and logistical support. ISEG Foundation will bring technical expertise to develop energy demand-supply scenarios, renewable energy strategies, and implementation frameworks.
A Central Oversight Committee chaired by the CEO of NITI Aayog and a State Steering Committee led by the Principal Secretary (Energy), Government of Odisha, will be constituted to monitor progress and provide strategic direction.
This partnership underscores a shared commitment to a greener, more resilient future for Odisha and sets a precedent for collaborative, data-driven, and scalable energy transition models across Indian States.
