Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a dry weather spell for Odisha from December 7 to December 10. However, some districts are likely to experience shallow to moderate fog in the said period.
Going by IMD prediction for December 7-8, dry weather is likely to prevail over all districts of Odisha, while shallow to moderate fog may occur in one or two places in Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi.
For December 9, IMD predicted light rain in one or two places in Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, and Bolangir districts, while dry weather will prevail in the rest of the state.
“Light rain may occur in one or two places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, and Boudh districts, with dry weather prevailing in the remaining districts”, read the IMD forecast for December 10.
The regional office has predicted that Odisha will continue to experience a dry weather spell till December 12. According to the IMD forecast, no significant rainfall activity is expected in the state during this period.
