Bhubaneswar: The mercury is set to rise across Odisha from April 20, as informed by weather scientist Uma Shankar Das on Thursday.
Das explained that, at present, the highest temperatures in various parts of the state remain below 40°C due to the influence of the nor’wester (Kalbaisakhi). However, he noted that this pattern is expected to change in the coming days.
The scientist further stated that the impact of rainfall is likely to diminish within the next three days, which will lead to an increase in daytime temperatures.
As the weather pattern shifts, several areas in the interior of the state may experience temperatures surpassing 40°C.
This change in weather conditions could bring an increased risk of heatwave conditions in several regions.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe during the rising temperatures.
