Odisha To Experience Wet Weather For Another Week

Bhubaneswar: The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area lying over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood, and Puri and is moving southeastwards to east-central Bay of Bengal. Several parts of Odisha will continue to receive light to moderate rainfall during the next one week under the influence of this LoPAR, the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday afternoon.

Weather warning for Odisha districts:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 19.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north Odisha and at a few places over the districts of south Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Aware): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, and Bargarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.09.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 20.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south Odisha and at a few places over the districts of north Odisha.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 20.09.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 21.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south Odisha and at a few places over the districts of north Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Aware): Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.09.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Aware): Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.09.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 23.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Aware): Thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.09.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 24.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.09.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 25.09.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of south Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.
