Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to introduce an online ambulance booking service through the ‘Odisha Yatri’ app, informed Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena.
The State Transport Department, in collaboration with CRUT (Capital Region Urban Transport), will launch the initiative to streamline emergency transport services across Odisha, providing citizens with efficient access to ambulance services through the Odisha Yatri mobile app.
This initiative aims to provide citizens with easy access to both government and private ambulance services through the Odisha Yatri mobile app. This app will enable users to quickly locate and book nearby ambulances during medical emergencies.
Talking to the mediapersons, Jena said, “People can book both private and government ambulances using the Odisha Yatri app, and the price tariff will be fixed by the government. We will soon begin the process of onboarding private ambulance operators.”
According to Jena, the government will regulate the ambulance service and finalise the fare structure for private ambulances soon. Upon implementation, citizens will be able to access both government and private ambulances through the Odisha Yatri app.
