Bhubaneswar: Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Monday said that the state government will soon make the inquiry commission report on the murder of VHP leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati public.
The Chief Minister has held a discussion on the issue and the state government will decide on making a probe report on the assassination of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati public. “We will take a decision on this soon,” the minister told the media.
It is worth mentioning here that Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and four associates were killed by unidentified assailants at his Jalespata Ashram in Kandhamal district on the Janmashtami day in 2008.
The erstwhile state government headed by Naveen Patnaik had formed a Commission of Inquiry headed by Justice AS Naidu to probe the assassination of the senior VHP leader. Although the inquiry commission submitted its report eight years ago, its findings are yet to be made public.
