Bhubaneswar: As Odisha Government, steered by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has been laying utmost stress on women empowerment through its mega Mission Shakti programme, the State Government has planned to open sale counter at every district headquarters for the yearlong marketing of the products made by the Self Help Groups (SHGs).
Talking to media at the State Secretariat here today, Odisha Panchayati Raj Minister Pratap Jena informed, “There is a provision for marketing of the products of the women SHGs through the ORMAS. We are taking steps to ensure that the products are sold throughout the year.”
“As per the steps, we are going to open a sale counter at all district headquarters and later on at all the block headquarters so that the products of the women SHGs could be marketed whole year.”
