Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday said that the government will reopen and reinvestigate the sensitive lady Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) Smitaran Biswal ‘murder’ case.
Majhi alleged that Smitarani was allegedly used and ‘murdered’ by low-profile BJD leaders. The Chief Minister said the government has received a request from Smitarani’s husband to reopen and reinvestigate the case.
“Our government will investigate the case and take stern action against all those involved in the crime,” he said.
Majhi was speaking at the BJP’s membership drive at Barchana where he criticised the Congress and the BJD for adopting nepotism. “Son has taken power after mother in the Congress and son after father in the BJD,” ridiculed Majhi.
He alleged that three families have looted Jajpur in the name of development.
