Odisha Train Tragedy: Another Passenger Succumbs, Toll Rises To 291

Bhubaneswar: The death toll in Balasore triple-train tragedy rose to 291 with the death of another passenger at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Saturday morning.

The deceased passenger was identified as Sohim Mansur of Bihar. He had sustained grievous injuries with multiple fractures and complications like internal bleeding, the SCB MCH authorities stated.

Mansur was reviving but succumbed today morning. At present, the condition of another two patients, one in Central ICU and another in Neuro ICU, is critical, the SCB MCH authorities informed.

Total of 46 injured passengers of the massive tragedy are undergoing treatment at SCB MCH, out of which 13 are in ICU while 33 are in the general ward.
