Odisha Twin City Couples Are Safe This Valentine’s Day
**Bhubaneswar:** All Romeo-Juliets, Heer-Ranjhas and Shahrukh-Kajols of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are safe from harassment and moral policing this year on February 14, Valentine’s Day- The Day of Love.
This is because Twin City Police Commissionerate is all set to make adequate security arrangements to protect the couple from any case of harassment. Commissioner of Police, Satyajit Mohanty said, “I can’t guarantee protection to each and everyone. But, we won’t allow anyone to harass others (Valentine couples). We won’t tolerate incidents of harassment with anyone on the Valentine’s Day celebrations. If such incidents come to our notice, we will take action. We will be deploying our PCR vans on patrol.”
Reports also stated that cops in civil attire will be deployed at popular parks and hangout spots of the city to avoid any untoward incident. Many saffron outfits had been creating ruckus over the past years on V-Day citing that the young couples were becoming increasingly Western and were spoiling Indian culture.
“If the couple is within the parameter of decency and is acting responsibly, then protection will definitely be given,” the top cop assured.
