Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police have busted a gang of four persons which was involved in multiple cases of car robbery in Khurda district over the past couple of months.
One Swift DZire, a Bolero and one Tata Indigo, all stolen from different areas in the district have been recovered in this connection.
The accused have beenb identified as Krushna Da of Dumduma, Amarjit Pradhan of Bharatpur, Maheswar Dalei of Old Town and Pravat Sahu of Boudh.
The police acted on the basis of a complaint lodged by Arjun Sahoo of Karnapur in Angul district. On June 20, Arjun’s Swift Dzire car was looted by Krushna, Aparjit and Maheswar from AMRI Hospital square.
Investigation revealed their involvement in similar crimes which took place in Khurda in the recent past. Two motorbikes, several mobile phones and a toy gun has been seized from their possession.
The robbers were booked under multiple Sections of the IPC and forwarded to the court on Thursday.
