Odisha: Twin City Police Gears Up For President’s Visit

Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in Bhubaneswar on December 7 evening. The first citizen will be staying at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday night and leave for Barunei to lay the foundation stone of Paika Memorial, DGP (In-charge) Satyajit Mohanty said.

On the same day, Kovind will return to Bhubaneswar and attend the platinum jubilee function of Utkal University. The President will return to Raj Bhavan at around 1:45 pm from Vani Vihar (Utkal University) and leave for Delhi at around 5:20 pm, Mohanty added.

Mohanty presided over a high-level meeting which was conducted to review the security arrangements during President's visit. ADGP Law and Order, Police Commissioner, IG Intelligence, DIG Central Range, ADGP Coastal Security and DIG Central Range participated.

"The security will be laid as per the Blue-Book and around 50 platoon force will be deployed in and around Bhubaneswar. Security at Khurda and Bhubaneswar, route-lining and at the event sites were discussed," Mohanty said.
