Odisha: Two Looters Arrested In Balasore, Cash And Jewelry Recovered

**Balasore**: Two burglars, who had robbed a jewelry store owner on July 10, have been nabbed by the police from the district’s Khaira area today.

One physically challenged Gadadhar Sahoo was robbed at gunpoint of Rs 40 thousand and some gold ornaments on the night of July 10. Later, Sahoo had filed a complaint with Khaira police informing them that five robbers were involved in this crime.

Following a tip-off, a team of cops raided the robbers’ house today morning. Rs 14 thousand cash and gold ornaments were recovered from beneath the ground in the kitchen.

The two accused, Manoranjan Siala of Satapada and Laxmidhar Siala of Purbapada, were arrested in the raid.

Inspector-In-charge (IIC) Lopamudra Nayak, who led the investigation said, “We have caught two principal accused today. We will interrogate them and find out more about their other four associates who have gone absconding.”
