Odisha: Two Wagons Of Goods Train Derail Near Berhampur

**Berhampur:** Two coaches of a goods train derailed between Berhampur and Golanthara railway stations today in the wee hours, informed railway officials.

According to reports, two bogies of the train derailed at around 2 am in the morning when the train was en-route to Visakhapatnam from Khurda Road for repairs.

However, no casualties have been reported as the trains were empty, informed officials.

As per latest reports, senior railway officers from Khurda Road and Bramhapur reached the site in the night with a Relief Train and re-railed one wagon at 4:45 am in the morning. The restoration work began under the supervision of S. P. Dwivedi, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of Khurda Road.

Train traffic had not been affected completely as one track was free for movement of the trains.

Puri – Palasa and Bhubaneswar – Bramhapur passenger trains were cancelled this morning to enable faster traffic restoration by relief trains.

Later at about 9:30 am in the morning, the second wagon was also re-railed and train movement was restored to normal as soon as track fitness was given.
