Odisha: Unidentified Miscreants Loot Rs 8 Lakh From Businessman In Puri
**Puri:** At least five bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 8 lakh from a businessman at gunpoint in Nimapada area here today afternoon.
The incident occurred during lunch hours when Rupadeipur village’s Ranjan Sahoo, a businessman dealing with cow fodder, was on his way from Balanga to deposit his money at Nimapara’s SBI branch. Five miscreants wearing helmets, intercepted his way near a canal and threatened him by pointing a revolver at his head.
Terrified Ranjan, gave away all his money to escape the spot without any injuries.
He rushed to the Nimapada police station and filed a complaint saying that all his business investment was looted.
The police have started the investigation into the matter in order to nab the culprits.
