Odisha Vigilance Arrests Bhubaneswar CCSO For Possessing Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested Prashanta Kumar Gantayat, Chief Civil Supplies Officer (CCSO), Bhubaneswar, for possession of disproportionate assets.

Based on searches conducted on the properties linked to Gantayat, he was found in possession of huge disproportionate assets, including two multi-storeyed buildings in Bhubaneswar, two flats, five plots – three in Bhubaneswar, financial deposits worth around Rs 1.48 crore, gold weighing 536 gm, cash to the tune of Rs 1.21lakh, one four-wheeler, etc for which he could not produce satisfactory answers.

Gantayat has been placed under arrest and will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Odisha Vigilance, in Bhubaneswar.

A detailed report is awaited.
