Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance arrested Khetramohan Nayak, the Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Radhadeipur Gram Panchayat under Sanakhemundi block in Ganjam district for embezzling government fund to the tune of Rs 43,01,640.

The investigation revealed that Nayak, who joined government service in July 2024, misappropriated funds from various accounts, including CFC, SFC, PDS, and OAP, by abusing his official power and forging the signature of the Sarpanch. He allegedly used the embezzled funds for betting on cricket and gaming apps.

The Berhampur Vigilance has registered a case (No. 03/2025) against Nayak under various sections of the PC Act, 1988, and the investigation is underway.
