Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths unearthed assets worth Rs 1.48 crores belonging to Ramesh Chandra Behera, the deputy director of Factories & Boilers Directorate.
On Thursday, separate teams of Vigilance Bhubaneswar Division conducted simultaneous raids at six places including his office and his residences at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur and Puducherry.

In the course of the search, Vigilance found Behera to be in possession of assets worth Rs 1,48,59,466. This includes:
- A 3BHK flat worth Rs 41,75,683 in Bhubaneswar,
- Triple storied building worth Rs 28,49,523 lakh in Jajpur,
- Five plots Cuttack, Jajpur, Rayagada, outhouse at Cuttack and single room apartment in Puducherry worth Rs 9,59,000
- One four-wheeler worth Rs 8,75,655
- One two-wheeler worth Rs 60,000
- Bank deposits amounting to Rs 26,43, 198
- LIC policies amounting to Rs 11,05,420
- Gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 8,19,057
- Cash amounting to Rs 11,85,280
As per latest reports, Factories & Boilers Directorate Deputy Director Ramesh Chandra Behera has been arrested.
