Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has launched searches at eight locations linked to Ramesh Chandra Jena, the Senior Private Secretary of the Panchayat Raj and Drinking Water Department, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
The searches, led by eight DSPs, three inspectors, 10 ASIs, and other staff, are being conducted based on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance in Bhubaneswar.
The locations being searched include Jena’s residential properties, government quarter, office chamber, and his relatives’ homes in Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Khordha. The vigilance department is investigating allegations of Jena possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The locations being searched include:
- A double-storey building over plot No. K4, Kalinganagar, Bhubaneswar.
- A triple-storey building over plot No. 1979/3971, Mouza- Gothapatna in Bhubaneswar.
- House of Jena at his native village Khuntia Banpur, Gadisagoda, Dist- Puri.
- The house of his relative located at Tarimi, Kalupadaghat under Tangi police limits
- His Residential Govt Quarter No. IV-A, Unit-2 at Market building, Bhubaneswar.
- Office chamber of Sri Jena.
- The house of his relative located at Nirakarpur, Dist-Khordha.
- The house of his another relative located at Nirakarpur, Dist-Khordha.
Till the news came in, search operations were underway.
