Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the State Assembly on Monday that the Vigilance Directorate, Odisha, has registered a total of 810 cases over the last three financial years, from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2024.
Responding to a query from Barachana BJP MLA Amar Kumar Nayak, the Chief Minister stated that investigations into 422 of these cases have been completed.
He further revealed that out of the 810 cases, 259 were related to disproportionate assets involving government officials and employees. Of these, 150 individuals have been arrested and sent to jail. Majhi emphasized that the state government is taking stringent measures to curb the accumulation of disproportionate assets.
