Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has unearthed disproportionate assets (DA) linked to Surendra Tanti, the ARI-cum-in-charge RI of the Kumuli circle under Boriguma Tahsil in Koraput district.
The investigation revealed two multi-story buildings, eight plots of land, over 150 grams of gold jewelry, and more during house searches.
According to an official press release, the search operation also found Rs. 1.55 lakh in cash and three four-wheelers on Tanti’s property.
The assets discovered so far in the names of Surendra Tanti and his family members include:
- One double storeyed building with area approx 2,000 Sqft. at Boriguma, Koraput.
- Another double storeyed building with area approx 2,000 Sqft. at Jhilimili, Boriguma, Koraput.
- 8 nos. of plots in and around Boriguma, Dist-Koraput. Details as under;
- A piece of land comprising 4 plots vide No.44/743, 44/709, 44/680 & 44/717 measuring an area of A 0.08 dcml., Khata No.122/990 & 122/991, Mauza Kundraguda, Boriguma, Koraput.
- One plot vide plot No.44/741, Khata No.122/372 measuring an area of A 0.02 dcml., Mauza Kundraguda, Boriguma, Koraput.
- A big patch of land vide plot No.72 & 298, Khata No.96 measuring an area of A 2.29 dcml., Mauza Kosaguda, Boriguma, Koraput.
- One plot vide plot No.94/122/1635, Khata No.155/1301 measuring an area of A 0.02 dcml., Mauza Jhilimili, Boriguma, Koraput.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
- Cash Rs.1,55,000/-.
- Gold jewellery weighing 152 gms.
- 3 four-wheelers (Bolero, Mahindra SUV & Maruti Alto) & 1 two-wheeler.
- Bank, Insurance & Postal deposits and other investments etc. are being ascertained.
