Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has unearthed movable and immovable assets worth crores of rupees so far in an ongoing search at seven locations of Sanjaya Kumar Mohanty, Junior Engineer (JE), CADA Division, Malkangiri.
The movable and immovable assets unearthed by the anti-corruption agency so far is as follows:
1) One triple-storeyed building located at Deulipanchughanta, Jaleswar, Balasore with an area of approx 10,000 Sqft; 2) One 2-BHK Flat in Green Homes Apartment at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar with an area approx 1200 Sqft; 3) 14 plots in prime area of Jaleswar Town; 4) Cash Rs 1,43,220; 5) 1 four wheeler (Honda City) & 2 two-wheelers worth about Rs 12.70 lakh; 6) Bank & Insurance deposits worth approx Rs 8 Lakhs; and 7) Gold and household articles worth over Rs 14.18 Lakh, said an official press release.
Mohanty is being examined to ascertain the source of the assets. Further searches are continuing. Unearthing of more assets is likely and overall valuation is likely to increase, the release added.
The release said that on the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, simultaneous house searches were launched on the properties of Sanjaya Kumar Mohanty, JE, CADA Division, Malkangiri today at 7 places in Bhubaneswar, Balasore and Malkangiri districts. Enquiry is in progress, the release said.
