**Balasore**: In yet another display of inhumanity, a woman was killed by her husband who allegedly attacked her following a family feud between the two here today morning.
The incident occurred in the Sadar Police Station area’s Odangi village when Amulya Das attacked his wife after the duo got into an argument over family matters. Das brutally assaulted his wife by hitting her on the head with a wooden plank.
On sustaining serious injuries on the head, the woman was rushed to the Balasore hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries while she was being shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The deceased has been identified as Anjali Das from Gujarat.
The couple had fallen in love when Amulya was employed in Gujarat and the both had tied the knot six years ago. They also have two children from the wedlock.
Police reached the spot immediately and have detained the accused for further interrogation in connection with the incident.
