**Bhubaneswar: ** Even though Odisha Government pioneered in implementing pro-farmer KALIA Scheme in the country and the Centre’s PM-KISAN was done later, deemed to be a replica, the State Government today decided to include itself also in the Central Government’s scheme for the farmers.
This was decided at the State Level Committee meeting chaired by Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the Secretariat.
Briefing media after the significant meeting, the Chief Secretary said, “Odisha will join Central Government’s PM-KISAN Scheme. We have decided that the 13 lakh beneficiaries of KALIA Scheme’s Phase-I will be the proposed beneficiaries for PM-KISAN Scheme’s first installment amount of Rs 2000. Today we’ll upload the data.”
Odisha Agriculture Secretary Saurabh Garg also informed, “We have decided that we’ll join PM-KISAN. The list of around 13 lakh KALIA Scheme’s beneficiaries of the Phase-I will be uploaded today.”
He further informed, “Today 14.2 lakh KALIA beneficiaries were given assistance. Its data need to be set a bit more and in course of time, these Phase-II KALIA beneficiaries will also be sent for PM-KISAN in future.”
The Agriculture Secretary also explained, “In KALIA also, we had sought land details. The terms and conditions laid down in PM-KISAN are also in our KALIA scheme.
