**Bhubaneswar: ** As BJD chief-cum-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been championing for the 33% reservation for women in both the Parliament and State Assemblies and has also announced that his party will definitely field seven woman MP candidates this time out of the total 21 parliamentary seats in the State, Naveen Niwas today witnessed a beeline of such aspirants.
Noted Odia singer Tripti Das in her media reactions said, “It all depends on the decision of the party. I have already been given a post. Its tenure has ended. Now I’m extremely happy at the decision of 33% reservation for women. Hence, I came today to meet our chief.”
“I’m in the party for the last five years as I joined it in 2014. I’m an Odia singer and every household knows me. Who doesn’t know Trupti Das? If I sing ‘Boulo ki kahibi…’, the people will automatically recognize me that I’m that Trupti Das,” she stated.
Namita Rout said, “I have not decided on that line. Already met CM Sahib earlier. Whatever the supremo will decide on my candidature, that would final.”
Rizwana Begum said, “If 33%, why not I? If I have devoted to my party hundred percent thorugh my work, our party supremo will definitely think on my candidature.”
“Whoever gets the ticket will win for BJD. Whoever will be BJD ticket holder will be the winner,” she claimed.
Priyanka Mallik said, “As Naveen Babu has assured for the women, we have today submitted our bio data. This will be for the first time. But, I’m very much hopeful. Wish to work for the people of our society.”
