Bhubaneswar: Odisha Yatri, the Government of Odisha’s people-first mobility platform, is strengthening its presence across the State with a renewed focus on public safety, digital innovation, and driver empowerment.
In a significant move to enhance citizen security, Odisha Yatri is being upgraded into a comprehensive safety-enabled mobility platform. The new system will feature direct SOS connectivity with the police, emergency activation without the need to open the application, live location sharing, and instant alerts to designated emergency contacts. These technology-driven interventions are designed to ensure round-the-clock safety access for commuters across Odisha, extending the platform’s commitment beyond transportation services.
On the economic front, Odisha Yatri has facilitated cumulative driver earnings exceeding ₹10 crore under its Zero Commission model. Operating on a transparent framework that allows drivers to retain 100 per cent of their ride income, the platform has strengthened driver livelihoods and fostered trust. The Zero Commission approach has emerged as a key differentiator, positioning Odisha Yatri as a fair and government-backed alternative in the mobility ecosystem.
The platform’s FASTicket initiative has also accelerated the digitisation of public transport services under Ama Bus. Passengers can now scan QR codes inside buses to book tickets within seconds, receive instant digital confirmations, and avail exclusive discounts. The seamless, cashless system has significantly improved commuter convenience while promoting digital adoption in public transportation.
With expansion plans underway in cities such as Sambalpur and Rourkela, Odisha Yatri is steadily working towards building a unified and integrated mobility ecosystem across the State.
By integrating advanced safety features, ensuring zero-commission driver empowerment, promoting digital ticketing, and expanding its geographic footprint, Odisha Yatri continues to strengthen its position as Odisha’s trusted mobility and safety platform.
