Bhubaneswar: The Aska Police Station in Ganjam district of Odisha has been selected by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as one of the best three Police Stations in the country for 2022.
This was informed by Joint Director & Conference Secretary of Intelligence Bureau, MHA, Tarun Kumar, in a letter to Odisha DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal on January 2.
Kumar stated that the Union Home Minister will personally hand over the Trophy to the SHO (Station House Officer) of Gangapur Police Station on January 20, 2023, at National Agriculture Science Complex, PUSA Campus, New Delhi, during the DGsP/IGsP Conference 2022.
He asked the DGP to direct the SHO to be present in uniform with cross belt at the Conference venue by 1 PM on January 19 for rehearsal in the afternoon and to receive the Trophy on January 20.
Arrangements for the stay of the SHO and transport are being made at Delhi, stated Kumar while adding that the SHO be asked to send his recent passport size photograph and travel plan.
It is pertinent to mention that Gangapur Police Station in Ganjam district had been selected by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as one of the best three Police Stations in the country for 2021.
