Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik praised President Droupadi Murmu’s remarkable journey, saying, “We are all proud that the daughter of the land is sitting in the highest position of the country.” Patnaik began his speech in the State Assembly, highlighting the honour of praising the President.
He recalled Murmu’s 25-year political career, which began in the Odisha Assembly, and noted that she has brought glory to the state by becoming President. Patnaik emphasised Odisha’s progress in disaster management, women’s empowerment, infrastructure development, healthcare reforms, and climate-resilient industrial growth.
Patnaik also praised Odisha’s rich natural resources and wildlife, saying, “Unity in diversity is the speciality of India.” He acknowledged the country’s current challenges but highlighted language, lifestyle, and culture’s role in enriching Indianness
