**Berhampur:** A truck, carrying relief materials like food, medicine, plastic, blankets and other important stuffs, has been sent for the flood victims of Kerala on Monday evening.
The relief has been collected by the people of Ganjam district and has been sent in a truck by the Government of Odisha.
“Several NGOs of Berhampur came together to collect relief items like medicine, baby food, food, clothes and much more for the noble purpose. Along with this, Yuva BJD committee of Berhampur has also extended a help of Rs 1 lakh for the people of Kerala”, informed Berhampur BJD MLA Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange informed, “About 25 tons of relief materials are being sent for the flood victims in Kerala. This is a good initiative of the people here. Ganjam administration is in touch with the Odia people there and all necessities are being taken care of”.
“It will take some more time to get all the Odia people back since the roads have been damaged in large. They are all safe and will be back to Odisha as soon as the situation gets a bit better”, he added.
